About Me
I’ve always been the quiet type; kept to myself. I fell in love with horses at a young age and found the equestrian lifestyle one that aligned with being an introvert. Caring for such majestic animals challenged my capacity to have discipline and remain soft; be strategic yet creative. It required me to work with my hands and body but also to problem solve.
I graduated from Welding and Fabrication at Algonquin College in 2016. While working on a job manufacturing sinks, I found myself with ample amounts of circular shaped leftover metal from faucet holes; This is when I had the idea of creating pet tags. From there I began using horseshoes from pet owners who had lost their companion or simply wanted to commemorate a special event.
It has now grown into April Fawnn metal Works, where I offer a product line of handmade art using metal from recycled materials and quality grade stainless steel. From pet tags to home and garden décor, I offer custom made pieces of art that are unique and bring a little something special to wherever they’re used.
